It was a BLIZZARD

Our day began so peaceful. Sun shinning, temperatures up, etc. I even began to dream that the weather would stay good and roads to our new house would be in earlier than normal. Then.....all of the sudden the wind was crazy. (over 60 mph according to the news) Then it began to snow. We are use to that, but it normally comes from the North or South. This time it came from the West. It was about lunch time and Tyler was up from work. And then all the power went out. Right in the middle of me making my dinner group dinners. Tyler thought quickly and decided to get a load of wood in the house and to crank up the fire. Good thinkin' cuz we were out of power for a couple of hours. The school lost power too. My teacher connections called me and told me I could pick up the kids if I wanted to. No way, you keep them I thought. About an hour and 1/2 later my teacher connections called again to cancel the dinner I had arranged for them that night and mentioned, "without the power the school is getting cold." I didn't even think about my cold little kids. So off to school Tyler went to pick them up.

After school the kids all got dressed in their snow clothes and played outside. At least there is something for them to do now. I don't like when it is cold without snow. Cuz then no one wants to go outside. Looks like we have a least a weeks worth of fun until the snow melts.

That is crazy, it started off nice and then a big storm comes through. Were you at least able to finish you dinner for the group? Looks like the kids are loving the snow.
